Adding Keywords
Click the Add Keywords button to open the keyword entry dialog. You can add keywords by typing them directly, separating multiple keywords with commas or by pressing Enter.
When adding keywords, you can also:
- Assign tags - Organize keywords by topic, campaign, or priority
- Select locations - Track rankings in specific countries and languages
- Choose device type - Track desktop only or both desktop and mobile rankings
Understanding the Dashboard
Overview Metrics
The top of your rank tracker shows aggregate metrics:
- Average Position - Mean ranking across all keywords
- Visibility Score - Estimated search visibility percentage
- Traffic - Estimated monthly search traffic
- SERP Features - Summary of SERP features you appear in
- Position Distribution - Visual breakdown of keyword positions
Keyword Table
The main table displays all tracked keywords with columns for:
- Keyword name with device, country, language, and region indicators
- Search intent classification
- Tags for organization
- Current position with change indicator
- SERP features present
- Search volume
- Estimated traffic
- Keyword difficulty (KD) score
- Ranking URL
Filters and Segmentation
Use filters to focus on specific keyword groups:
- Device - Filter by All, Desktop, or Mobile
- Date Range - View data for last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or custom range
- Tags - Filter by custom tags
- Location - Filter by country and language
- Position - Filter by position range (e.g., 1-10, 11-20)
- Search Volume - Filter by volume range
- Traffic - Filter by traffic range
- Keyword Difficulty - Filter by KD score range
- URL - Search for keywords ranking on specific pages
- Keyword Search - Search keywords by name
Historical Data
Click any keyword to see its ranking history visualized as a chart. You can view trends over:
- Last 24 hours
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Custom date range
Understanding Volatility
Some ranking fluctuation is normal, especially for competitive keywords. Look for sustained trends over 1-2 weeks rather than reacting to daily changes. Use the Events feature to correlate ranking changes with Google updates or your own site changes.
